A few of the edible things we found and learned about on Saturday’s foraging course near Sheffield : best find of the day being a new horn of plenty patch I didn’t know was there (well spotted Yvette!). Also witch’s eggs that we could taste raw (perfect for halloween!) and a gone-over hen of the woods, another first for me at this particular location… awesome! A very enjoyable bimble through both broadleaf and coniferous woods, followed by posh mushrooms on toast, a few wild tipples to sample, and a quince & magnolia cake mmm…
