♡ Foraged rainbow! ♡
St George’s mushrooms
Japanese knotweed shoots
Quince blossom
Darwin’s barberry flowers
Forsythia flowers
Wild primrose
Wild garlic flower buds
Three-cornered leek flowers
Yarrow leaves
Ox-eye daisy tips
Green alkanet flowers (which are blue!) Blue speedwell flowers hiding in there
Greater periwinkle (Vinca major) flowers
Flowering currant blooms
Larch roses
Note: Greater periwinkle and Darwin’s barberry flowers shouldn’t be consumed in large quantities or they can be toxic, only a couple at a time with the periwinkles please. Japanese knotweed is incredibly invasive so read up on how to handle/dispose of any part of this plant responsibly (boil & burn!) Always research any new species for yourself too. Only ever pick anything if you’re 100% sure of what it is and if it is growing in huge abundance, and particularly with flowers remember that the bees need early spring food too… 🙂
