Rosy garlic (Allium roseum) is just coming into flower on the south coast
Originally native to warmer climes such as the Mediterranean and northern Africa it seems to be thriving well in southern England where it’s now considered naturalised
The flower heads consist of a nucleus of cerise bulbils with a spray of rosy pink flowers, the stems are slim, sturdy and rounded, the leaves narrow and concolourous with the stem
