Wonderful to pick ripe figs straight from the tree here in the south of France where I’m hanging out this week! They never seem to get fully ripe in Leeds… not hot for long enough I guess. These are only just starting to ripen here in the south of France, enjoyed the first pickings of the season with my aunt’s homemade yogurt and syrupy fig jam for breakfast this morning, what a treat!
