Check out this stunning dryad’s saddle (Polyporus squamosus) spotted by my eagle-eyed speed foraging co-pilot for the afternoon whilst driving down a country back lane… ooo it’s a beauty! Smelled wonderfully of watermelon… edible when young like these, they can become tough beyond this, though can still be dried and used in seasoning when a little more mature.

Also went looking for crayfish (but was scared of dropping myself and therefore my phone in the river, so no pics!), saw a few button-stage amethyst chantetelles (Cantharellus amethysteus) (in the rain, so no pics!) and picked a decent amount of seriously big bilberries (also in the rain so again neglected to take photos on my phone!) so I’m afraid this is all I have from today picture-wise… haha 🙂
