Heavenly hedgerows! ♡

I’m so often in the woods that I sometimes forget to harvest bounty from the hedgerows…! It’s been nice to gather goodies standing upright for a change from crouching over fantastic fungi on the ground ?

This lot became rosehip ketchup (with & without petals in too); rosehip wild/raw vinegar; rosehip mead; sticky elderberry vinegar; elderberry gin; red plum wild/raw vinegar (using an old kombucha SCOBY that had gone over into vinegar); haw ketchup (3 varieties: straight haw, rosy haw and smokin’ hot haw!); hazelnuts are ripening off & will go into wild garlic pesto & other goodies next spring; chickweed-infused oil; pickled unripe blackberries; and venison dolamdes using jack-by-the-hedge leaves to wrap…
